Behcet's Disease is rare disease associated with chronic inflammation of blood vessels. The disease is more common with people between 20s and 30s. Causes of Behcet's Disease:

- Headache, fever, strokes may occur if Behcet's Syndrome affects the brain.
- If the patient is suffering from Diarrhea, abdominal pain or bleeding then the patient's digestive system may get infected.
Diagnosis of Behcet's Disease:
Doctors usually depend on the symptoms for diagnosis in absence of proper medical tests, which may diagnose the disease. Inflammation of eye, sores in skin and genital sores are the most common symptoms of the disease. Sometimes Positive Pathergy Tests are conducted for confirmation. During such test a sterile needle is inserted in the affected area and further examinations are conducted after two days. If a bump is seen in the area where the needle was inserted then the result is positive and the Behcet's Disease is confirmed.
Treatment of Behcet's Disease:
Treatment is done according to the area affected by the disease. Skin creams, gel and ointments are prescribed for skin problems. Corticosteroids like prednisone are recommended for Behcet's Disease. Medication is highly effective since they help in the normalization and regulation of immune system.
