There are two types of Juvenile Arthritis that creep in people's body, one is the Polyarticular Juvenile Arthritis and the other is the Pauciarticular Juvenile Arthritis. While mentioning about Juvenile Arthritis it has to be said that unlike many other common forms of Arthritis, this disease commonly creeps in the body of children. Juvenile Arthritis is a long term chronic disease that results in inflammation of bones and tremendous joint pain. If not treated in time, Juvenile Arthritis might lead to damage of the joints which could be very fatal for children. According to doctors, Juvenile Arthritis creeps more in the body of children who are below the age of 16.

Juvenile Arthritis, which is also known in other names as Juvenile Chronic Polyarthritis, Still's disease, Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and JRA is an autoimmune disorder. It is a condition when the body by mistake identifies some of its tissues and cells as foreign. The immune system which fights against harmful, foreign substances like virus, bacteria gets damaged in such a condition and thus the bones and the joints get affected Though the real cause of Juvenile Arthritis is still unknown it is considered that it occurs as the bones and joints in the body get affected due to the weakness of the immune system.
But how will you know that whether your son or daughter is suffering from Juvenile Arthritis or not? Well, there are several symptoms of Juvenile Arthritis among which the most common are pain in the joints, stiffness in joints, specially in the morning, limitation in physical movement, slow rate of growth of arms and legs and swollen joints. Apart from that, people who fall victim to Juvenile Arthritis suffer from problems like recurring back pain, high fever for a long time, swollen lymph nodes and inflammation in eyes. Redness of the eyes, pain, photophobia and visual changes are some other common eye problems that patients of Juvenile Arthritis suffer from.
However, one must mention here that there are treatments for Juvenile Arthritis. X-ray of chest, joints and ECG can indicate whether a person is victim of this disease or not. Different types of medicines and physiotherapy can be applied for providing relief to a patient of Juvenile Arthritis. In severe cases doctors opt for surgeries.
