Psoriatic Arthritis

Like the other forms of Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis is a kind of inflammatory disease that affects the bones and the joints. But apart from that, it damages the skin too. It is considered as a seronegative spondyloarthropathy and mainly affects people with tissue type HLA-B27. It is a chronic disease and due to its ill effect on the skin the term 'Psoriatic' has been added to its name. Psoriatic Arthritis mainly affects the skin of the eyes, lungs, heart and kidneys and often leads and often leads to critical condition. Besides, pitting and loss of nails are common symptoms of this diseases.

Speaking about Psoriatic Arthritis it has to be said that this critical disease has some similarity with Rheumatic Arthritis, ankylosising spondylitis and reactive arthritis, which is also earlier known as Reiter's syndrome. Besides, there are similarities in the symptoms of this diseases with that of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This is the reason why patients of Psoriatic Arthritis often suffer from problems like inflammation in the spine. There are different types of Psoriatic Arthritis that people all over the world suffer from. Symmetric is one of the most common forms of Psoriatic Arthritis and accounts for over 50 per cent of the cases. Symmetric mainly affects the joints on both sides of the body. Asymmetric Psoriatic Arthritis is also quite common.
It does not affect the joint on both sides of the body and generally occurs in less than three joints. It is not very fatal and can be easily treated. When people suffer from deformation of body parts and destructive arthritis they are said to be victims of Arthritis Mutilans. stiffness in the spine, neck, hand and feet are clear indications of Spondylitis, which is another form of this diseases.
