Reactive Arthritis is one of the chronic forms of arthritis. In this kind of arthritis inflammation of genital area,joints and eyes are a common problem. The name Reactive Arthritis was given to the disease because it was believed that the immune system of your body is reacting to the presence of bacterias in the genital area, the urinary system and the gastrointestinal system. In some people the immune system is genetically such that when these areas are exposed to bacterias the immune system reacts. It leads to inflammation of joints and eyes too. Generally patients between 30 to 40 years of age are diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis. It is also considered as a systematic rheumatic disease.
Causes of Reactive Arthritis

According to the researchers the exact causes of Reactive Arthritis are partly genetic. However, to start the disease the genital area, the urinary system and the gastrointestinal system of a human body has to be affected by some kind of infections. This disease can also take place after venereal infection.

Symptoms of Reactive Arthritis

The joints like knees, ankles, feet and wrists are inflames as a symptom of Reactive Arthritis. Generally the pain takes place only in one side of the joint. The inflammation is followed by stiffness, pain, warmth, swelling and reddish discoloration of joints. The cartilages also get inflamed. Eyes, genitals, urinery tracts and mouth lining also get inflamed. These are the well known symptoms of Reactive Arthritis.

Treatment of Reactive Arthritis
the treatment of Reactive Arthritis needs a lot of medication. The type of medication changes depending on the problem area. If you have problems in any joint then you can use the non steroid anti-inflammatory drugs. The problems in other areas will need special type of medication depending on the problem areas.

Reactive Arthritis is a disease that can be healed quickly. However, proper care should be taken and the problem should be diagnosed in a proper way.
