One of the world renowned organizations for the research and treatment of rheumatic diseases is the Columbus Arthritis Center in Ohio in USA. It has been established in central Ohio since 1955 . At present, there is a board comprising of seven certified Rheumatologist engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and related diseases.

In the Columbus Arthritis Center, there are facilities for the treatment of different kind of rheaumatic diseases like Ankylosing Spondylitis, Fibromyalgia, Giant Cell Arteritis, Gout, Lupus, Myopathies, Ostereoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Polymyalgia, Rheumatica, Pseudogout, Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis Scleroderma, Sjögrens Syndrome and Tendonitis.

Some facts about the doctors

Dr. Wen-Shiung Chow got his Ph.D. and M.D. from the Ohio State University . He did residency in internal medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital and completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He is part of the Columbus Arthritis Center since 1994.

Dr.Sterling W. Hedrick did his medical school at Ohio State University and postgraduate work at Case Western University Hospitals of Cleveland. He is associated with the Columbus Arthritis Center since 1980.

Dr. Kevin D. Schlessel did his post graduate in Rheumatology at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York and an additional year of training in pediatric Rheumatology at the Schneider Children's Hospital.

He joined the Columbus Arthritis Center in 1998.Dr. Marvin H. Thomas completed his post graduate at the University of Iowa and is part of the Columbus Medical Center and the Columbus Arthritis Center since 1968. He has served as medical chairman of the Arthritis Foundation and the Lupus Foundation in Columbus.
